Ingredients
- Fenugreek seeds: 50g
- Navara rice; 250g
- grated coconut; 100g
- shallots; 50g
- cumin seeds: 1 tsp.
- Ghee: 2 to 3 tsp.
Method
- Today we’re going to make uluva kanji.
- For that, first wash the fenugreek seeds and then keep them in water for some time.
- Then wash the rice and keep it aside.
Transfer fenugreek seeds and rice to a pot with water and keep it on the stove. - Let it boil. By that time, grate the coconut.
- Then take the shallots and cumin seeds and then grind them in a grinding stone and transfer them to a bowl.
- Then add this grinded coconut to the boiled rice and fenugreek mixture along with some water and mix it, and remove from the fire.
- Then slice shallots.
- Then heat ghee in a pan and add sliced shallots to it and sauté well.
- Then remove from fire and add it to the fenugreek kanji and mix it.
- Uluva Kanji is ready to be served.
