Healthy sesame seeds jaggery recipe/eellu and avil recipe

Ingredients 

  • Sesame seeds: 150g
  • grated jaggery: 150g
  • rice flakes: 100g
  • Cardamom: 10g
  • Ghee: 1 tbsp
  • Grated coconut :100g

Method

  • Today we’re going to make ellu and avil recipe.
  • For that, first make jaggery syrup by heating water in a pan and adding jaggery.
  • Then wash sesame seeds, drain them, and keep them aside.
  • Then remove the jaggery syrup from the fire, drain it, and keep it aside.
  • Then heat the pan and add sesame, roast it, and keep aside.
  • Then roast rice flakes and keep it aside.
  • Then roast cardamom and grind that roasted cardamom in a grinding stone and set it aside.
  • Then heat ghee in a pan and add grated coconut and stir it well till its color starts to change.
  • Then add the jaggery syrup and mix it well.
  • Now add the roasted sesame seeds and stir and mix well.
  • Then add the roasted rice flakes in it and mix.
  • Then add the cardamom powder to it and stir till it becomes thick.
  • Then add 2 tsp. of ghee again and mix it well.
  • Then remove from fire.
