Ingredients
- Gooseberry – 1/2 kg
- Garlic – 14 to 15 nos
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Asafoetida powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Vinegar – 1 or 2 tbsp
- Fenugreek seed – 1 tsp
- Mustard seed – 1 tsp
- Mustard oil – 5 to 6 tbsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tbsp
Method
- First, we have to wash the gooseberries and set them aside.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan.
- Add gooseberries and mix them well.
- Saute and cook them well.
- Set them aside after thoroughly daining them.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seed and fenugreek seed; let them sputter.
- Then add chopped garlic and curry leaves,saute them well.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and asafoetida powder,saute them well.
- Pour a sufficient amount of water over them and thoroughly mix them.
- Add vinegar mix and combine them well.
- Add some salt to taste and mix them well.
- Now add cooked gooseberries and mix them well.
- Cook for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Remove from fire and set aside.
