Ingredients
- Chicken- 2kg
- Onion- 6 nos
- Tomatoes- 2 nos
- Green chilli- 3 nos
- Garlic – 10 to 12 nos
- Ginger – 2 pieces
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Cinnamon- 2 nos
- Clove – 3 to 4 nos
- Bay leaves- 2 no
- Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder- 2 tbsp
- Pepper powder- 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Salt
Method
- Today we are going to make kerala style chicken roast
- For the first peel onion and wash it then keep it aside
- Then wash tomatoes and keep aside
- Peel garlic and ginger, then keep it aside
- Then wash green chillies and keep aside
- Slice the tomatoes and keep aside
- Now chop the onion and keep aside
- Take some coriander leaves and curry leaves and then wash it
- After that grind ginger garlic and green chilies in a grinding stone and keep it aside
- Now heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves and then add onion in to it and mix by adding 1 tsp of salt
- Then add the ginger garlic and green chili paste to it and saute well
- Now add curry leaves and mox well
- Then add red chili powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder when the raw smell of onion is gone
- Then add tomatoes to it and mix well
- Now add the chicken in to it and mix it well
- add a teaspoon of salt and mix again
- Then close the pan and cook
- Check whether the chicken is cooked or not by opening the lid of the pan
- Keep it in the fire for some more time and stir it
- Check again if the chicken is cooked
- If its cooked , remove the pan from fire
- Kerala style chicken roast is ready
- Serve the tasty Kerala style chicken roast
