ChickenCurry & Rice dumplings in Coconut Gravy

Ingredients

  • Chicken – 1 kg
  • Onion – 6 nos
  • Garlic – 10 to 12 nos
  • Ginger – 2 to 3 nos
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
  • Oil – 2 to 3 tbsp

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan ,add mustard seed, and let them sputter .
  • Add dry red and saute them well.
  • Then add garlic and saute them well.
  • Then add the chopped onion and curry leaves.
  • Saute them well. for a few minutes.
  • Sprinkle with salt and sauté the onion until transulant.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and pepper powder.
  • Saute them well till the raw smell completely disappears.
  • Add the cleaned chicken pieces and mix them well.
  • Pour a sufficient amount of water over them and thoroughly mix them.
  • Cover and cook till the chicken is well cooked.
  • Then remove the lid and mix them well.
  • Add some garam masala mix them well.
  • cook for few minutes.
  • Remove from fire and set aside.

Rice dumplings

Ingredients

  • Rice flour – 2 1/2 cup
  • Grated coconut – 1 1/2 cup
  • Shallots – 10 to 12nos
  • Garlic – 6 to 7 nos
  • Cumin seed – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp

Method

  • Firstly, we have to crush the cumin seed.
  • Again, add shallots and garlic to the fine paste and set aside.
  • Heat water in a pan
  • Then add crushed cumin seed, shallots, and garlic.
  • Sprinkle some salt and mix them well
  • Boil them well.
  • Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • Take another pan. Add rice flour and grated coconut.
  • Then add hot water, a little at a time, to the mixture.,
  • Knead them well and make a slightly stiff dough. set aside
  • Then we prepare small balls from the dough and set them aside.
  • Heat water in a pan and pour some garlic-infused hot water over it.
  • Add some salt and mix them well.
  • Boil them well.
  • Take a bowl, add rice flour, grated coconut and water,set aside.
  • Then add small dough balls to the hot water pan.
  • stir and cook them well.
  • Then add the grated coconut and rice ball dough mixture .
  • Stir them occasionally and cook them well.
  • Take the pan off the heat and set it aside.
  • Serve the tasty rice dumplings with chicken curry.
