Beef pepper roast

Ingredients

  • Beef – 2 kg.
  • Ginger – 2 pieces.
  • Garlic – 3 nos.
  • Shallots – as required.
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Pepper powder – 2 teaspoons.
  • Coriander powder – 4 teaspoons.
  • Chili powder – 4 teaspoons.
  • Garam masala powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Green chilies – 3 nos.
  • Garam masala (whole spices).
  • Curry leaves.
  • Salt.
  • Oil.
  • Mustard.

Method

  • Make a paste of whole garam masala in a stone grinder. Crush pepper and keep aside.
  • Marinate beef with turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon), chili powder (2 teaspoons), coriander powder (2 teaspoons), pepper powder (1 teaspoon), ground garam masala ( 1 teaspoon), and finely chopped ginger, garlic, green chilies, and salt. Cook the marinated beef till done.
  • Heat oil in a pot, splutter mustard. Saute chopped shallots, ginger, garlic, and curry leaves. Add chili powder (2 teaspoons), coriander powder ( 2 teaspoons), pepper powder (1 teaspoon), and garam masala mix. Season with salt. Add the cooked beef and mix well.
  • Remove from flame. Spicy beef pepper roast is ready.
