Ingredients
- Vatta fish – 2 nos
- Grated coconut – 50g
- Dried red chilli – 7 nos
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Shallots – 10 to 12 nos
- Garlic – 4 to 5 nos
- Raw mango – 1 nos
- Curry leaves
- Drumsticks – 2 to 3 nos
- Green chilies – 3 nos
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seed- 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek powder – 1/2 tsp
Method
- Today we’re going to prepare kerala fish curry with drumsticks and raw mango
- For that first clean and cut the fish and keep it aside
- Then cut and wash drumsticks and keep it aside
- Peel mango and slice it and keep aside
- Then take grated coconut , dried red chilies ,coriander powder, turmeric powder, garlic and shallots in a plate
- Then place the dried red chilies in a grinding stone and add some drops of water and grind it well and add grated coconut, coriander powder and turmeric powder along with it and grind well , then add the shallots and garlic with it and grind it also
- Now transfer it to a plate and wash the grinding stone and collect the water from the grinding stone and mix the coconut paste with that water
- Then transfer this paste in to another pan and add some more water and mix it
- Then add sliced mango pieces in to it
- Then add the pieces of fish in to it
- Then add curry leaves and mix it
- Then place the pan in the stove by covering the pan
- When it boils open the pan and add the drumstick pieces and green chilies
- Then check salt and add salt according to the taste
- Again close the lid and cook for few minutes by closing the pan
- Then open it and check whether it is cooked
- Then remove pan from fire
- Then heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds , dried red chillies ,chopped shallots and curry leaves
- Then add red chilli powder and fenugreek powder and saute it
- Now remove the pan from fire and add it in to the fish curry
- Kerala style fish curry with drumsticks and raw mango is ready to serve
