Ingredients
- Beef – 2 kg
- Shallot – 15 to 20 nos
- Onion – 2 nos
- Ginger – 2 pieces
- Garlic – 10 to 15 nos
- Green chilies – 4 nos
- Curry leaves
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Crushed Dry chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Chopped coconut
- Garam masala powder – 2 tsp
Method
- Today we’re going to prepare kerala style beef roast
- For that first take beef and wash it thoroughly
- Now peel shallots and onions
- Then wash it and keep aside
- Now peel garlic and ginger
- Then wash it and keep aside
- Now wash green chilies
- Then divide the shallots in to two portions
- One portion is for making shallot paste , for that put the shallots in a grinding stone and make a paste out of it and keep it aside
- Now ginger , garlic and green chilies are grinded in a grinding stone and made a paste and kept aside
- Then add coriander powder ,chilli flakes ,red chilli powder , turmeric powder , salt ginger garlic and green chilli paste , and the shallot paste to the beef and add all 2 teaspoons of oil and mix it thoroughly with hands and add a little bit of water
- The keep the pan in stove and close the pan and let it cook
- By that time chop some coconut slices and keep it aside
- Then chop the onion , shallots , ginger, garlic and keep it aside
- Now check whether the beef is cooked and remove from fire
- Then heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds , cardamom , cloves , cinnamon
- Then add the chopped coconut pieces
- Then add the chopped onion , shallots , garlic , ginger and curry leaves, add some salt along with it
- Then saute it and add the cooked beef in to it and saute well
- Then add garam masala powder and mix again and roast it
- Then remove from fire and keep it aside
- Tasty kerala style beef roast is ready to serve
