Ingredients
- grated coconut -100 g
- jaggery-50 g
- cardamom-10 to 12 nos
- coconut milk – 1 glass
- rice flour – 50g
- salt-1 teaspoon
- coconut oil -1/2 L
Method
- Today we are going to prepare coconut-stuffed sweets or Andhra special traditional sweet paala munjalu.
- For that, first grate the coconut and crush the grated coconut in a grinding stone, then transfer it to a plate and keep it aside.
- Then boil water in a pan, add jaggery to it, and make syrup out of it.
- Then grind cardamom on the grinding stone, transfer it to a small bowl, and keep it aside.
- Then drain the jaggery syrup and keep it aside.
- Then heat the pan on the stove and add the crushed grated coconut and roast it.
- Remove it from the pan before it turns brown and keep it aside.
- Then heat the pan on the stove and add the jaggery syrup, boil it, and add roasted coconut when the consistency of the syrup becomes thick.
- Then stir and mix it well.
- Then remove it from the fire, keep it aside, and let it cool down.
- Now make small balls out of this jaggery and coconut mix and keep it aside.
- Now heat a pan on the stove and add milk.
- Then add rice flour to it, stir well, and mix it.
- Then add salt and mix again.
- Then remove the pan from the fire, mix it with your hands, and make a dough out of it.
- Now take a small portion of dough and make a ball.
- Then flatten the ball and keep the jaggery coconut mix ball inside and cover it.
- Then do the same process for the rest of the dough and coconut jaggery mix.
- Then heat oil in a pan and fry these balls till they turn brown and crispy.
- Andhra special traditional sweet paala munjalu is ready.
