Village-style crispy and crunchy peanut chikki or kappalandi mittayi


  • Peanut: 500g
  • jaggery: 300g


  • Today we are going to make kappalandi mittayi.
  • For that, we first need peanuts.
  • Heat the pan on the stove and add the peanut, then roast it and transfer it to a plate.
  • Remove the skin of the peanut and let it cool down.
  • Then grate the jaggery and keep it aside.
  • Then heat the pan on the stove and add the grated jaggery to it.
  • Add water and stir it till it changes to a thick consistency.
  • Now add all the roasted peanuts to the thick jaggery syrup and stir it till it becomes thick.
  • Now remove the pan from the fire and transfer the mix to another plate.
  • Then make a small ball-shaped chikki.
  • Village-style Kappalandi Mittayi is ready.
