Ingredients
- Lemon – 20 to 22
- Garlic – 26 to27
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Green chilli – 3 or 4 nos
- Curry leaves – 4 to 5 nos
- Vinegar – 1/2 cup
- Asafoetida powder -1 tsp
- Fenugreek powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tbsp
- Oil – 3 or 4 tbsp
Method
- Take a pan with water and a little bit of turmeric powder.
- Boil them well.
- Then add the lemon and mix them well.
- Boil for 6 to 7 minutes, covered.
- Then remove the lid and drain the lemon. Set aside.
- Peel the ginger and set it aside.
- Then wash the green chillies and ginger and set aside
- Then wash the green chillies and ginger and set aside.
- chopped the ginger and set aside.
- Then chopped the green chilli and set aside
- Then cut each lemon into four or eight pieces.
- Then sprinkle some salt ,mix well and Keep aside
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add curry leaves ,ginger,garlic and green chilli
- Saute till the raw smell disappears.
- Then add some turmeric powder and red chilli powder
- Saute till the raw smell disappears
- Saute for a few seconds after adding the asafoetida powder.
- Add boiled lemon pieces and combine them well.
- Then pour some vinegar and mix them well.
- Add fenugreek powder and salt mix them well.
- Cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes
- Open the lid and stir very well.
- Remove from flame and cool down.
- Then store in glass bottles ones completley cooled.
- Enjoy the tasty pickle with meals
