Instant Lemon Pickle Recipe

Ingredients

  • Lemon – 20 to 22
  • Garlic – 26 to27
  • Ginger – 1 nos
  • Green chilli – 3 or 4 nos
  • Curry leaves – 4 to 5 nos
  • Vinegar – 1/2 cup
  • Asafoetida powder -1 tsp
  • Fenugreek powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 or 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 3 or 4 tbsp

Method

  • Take a pan with water and a little bit of turmeric powder.
  • Boil them well.
  • Then add the lemon and mix them well.
  • Boil for 6 to 7 minutes, covered.
  • Then remove the lid and drain the lemon. Set aside.
  • Peel the ginger and set it aside.
  • Then wash the green chillies and ginger and set aside
  • Then wash the green chillies and ginger and set aside.
  • chopped the ginger and set aside.
  • Then chopped the green chilli and set aside
  • Then cut each lemon into four or eight pieces.
  • Then sprinkle some salt ,mix well and Keep aside
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add curry leaves ,ginger,garlic and green chilli
  • Saute till the raw smell disappears.
  • Then add some turmeric powder and red chilli powder
  • Saute till the raw smell disappears
  • Saute for a few seconds after adding the asafoetida powder.
  • Add boiled lemon pieces and combine them well.
  • Then pour some vinegar and mix them well.
  • Add fenugreek powder and salt mix them well.
  • Cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes
  • Open the lid and stir very well.
  • Remove from flame and cool down.
  • Then store in glass bottles ones completley cooled.
  • Enjoy the tasty pickle with meals
