Kerala style anchovy fish fry

Ingredients 

  • Anchovy- 1 kg
  • Shallots – 10 to 12 nos
  • Ginger – 1 piece
  • Garlic – 10 to 12 nos
  • Curry leaves
  • Pepper- 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
  • Crushed chilli powder- 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 2 tsp
  • Lemon- half pieces

Method

  • Today we’re going to make tasty kerala style anchovy fish fry
  • First wash and clean anchovies and keep it aside
  • Now peel shallots, garlic and ginger
  • Then wash shallots, ginger and garlic
  • Now grind fennel seeds , pepper , shallots, curry leaves,ginger and garlic in a grinding stone and make a paste out of it
  • Then transfer it in to plate and keep it aside
  • Now add turmeric powder, crushed chilli powder, red chilli powder and salt to it
  • Then add the paste we made in to it and mix well with hands
  • Keep it aside for some time
  • Now heat oil in a frying pan and put all the fish in to it and fry both sides well
  • When the fish is is fried
  • Remove the frying pan from the fire
  • Tasty Kerala style anchovy fish fry is ready
