Ingredients
- Beef – 2kg
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Tamarind water- 1 cup
- Curry leaves
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbs
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Dried red chilli- 8 to 10 nos
- Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
- Pepper – 1 tsp
- Cardamom – 3 to 4 nos
- Cinnamon – 2 to 3 nos
- Cloves – 4 to 5 nos
- Bay leaf – 1 nos
- Fennel seeds- 1 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Onion – 5 nos
- Green chilies – 2 nos
- Garlic – 10 to 12 nos
- Ginger – 1 piece
Method
- Today were going to prepare Kerala style beef chukka
- For that first wash the beef and add turmeric powder and salt along with 1 tablespoon of oil
- Then mix it with some water and keep aside
- Then heat oil in a pan and add
- Dried red chilli , coriander seeds , pepper , cardamom , cinnamon , cloves , fennel seeds , cumin seeds , bay leaf and fenugreek seeds
- Then roast it and transfer it to a plate and let it cool
- Now keep the beef in stove and cook
- By that time peel onions , garlic and garlic
- Wash onion, ginger , garlic and green chilies , keep it aside
- Then chop onion and set it aside
- Now grind the roasted spices in a grinding stone and keep it aside
- Then make the ginger and garlic along with some pepper and green chilies in to a paste and keep it aside
- Now check the beef whether it is cooked properly
- After that remove from fire and keep it aside
- Then heat oil in a pan and add the sliced onion and stir it by adding salt and fry it and keep aside
- Then make some tamarind water and set it aside
- Now heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves and the ginger ,garlic , green chilli and pepper paste
- Then add red chilli powder, and stir it well
- Then add the spice powder we made
- Add cooked beef in to it and mix well
- Then add the tamarind water and mix well
- Then add the fried onion in to it
- Stir it till it becomes dry
- Now remove the pan from fire
- Kerala style beef chukka is ready
