Ingredients
*Clam meat / kakka -1/2 kg.
*Pot tamarind – 2 piece.
*Green chilies.
*Ginger – big piece.
*Onion – finely chopped.
*Tomato – 1 no.
*Shallots – 10 nos.
*Curry leaves.
*Grated coconut – half portion.
*Pepper – 1 teaspoon.
*Coriander – 1 teaspoon.
*Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon.
*Fennel – 1 teaspoon.
*Coconut oil.
*Mustard.
*Salt.
Method
1) Clean clam meat with salt. Clean with pot tamarind infused water.
2) Grind grated coconut, garlic(6 cloves), shallots (10 nos.), coriander, pepper, turmeric, fennel, and curry leaves to make a thick paste.
3)Heat a clay pot with coconut oil, splutter mustard seed. Add ginger, garlic(6 nos. thinly sliced), shallots( 4 nos.), onion, curry leaves, green chilies (as per spice) and saute. To the sauteed mix add the clam meat. Add water to the pot with the prepared paste and salt. Once it comes to boil add tomatoes. When the water disappears turn off the stove.
Clam meat stir fry ready!
