Kerala village style drumstick pickle/ moringa pickle


  • Drumstick – 6 nos
  • Garlic- 20 nos
  • Red chilli powder- 2 tbsp
  • Salt- 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds- 1 tsp
  • Dried red chilli- 2 nos
  • Curry leaves
  • Asafoetida powder- 1 tsp


  • Today we’re going to make kerala village style drumstick pickle
  • For that first peel the drumsticks
  • Then cut the drumsticks in to small pieces
  • Then wash the drumsticks and keep it aside
  • Now peel garlic
  • Then wash it and keep aside
  • Then heat oil in a pan and add the drumsticks and saute it
  • Remove it from the pan when it’s half fried
  • Then add the garlic, fennel seeds and fenugreek seeds
  • Remove it from pan after its half fried
  • Now add this with the fried drumsticks and add red chilli powder and salt then mix it well
  • Now heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds , dried red chilli , curry leaves and asafoetida powder
  • Then remove it from fire and add to the drumsticks and mix well
  • Kerala village style drumstick pickle is ready
