Super Tasty & Healthy Breakfast- Pineapple Puttu Recipe

Ingredients

  • Pineapple – 1 nos
  • Rice flour – 2 cup
  • Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 or 2 tsp

Method

  • Firstly we have to peel the outer thron of the pineapple.
  • Then ,cut it into small cubes and set aside.
  • The pineapple pieces should then be ground into a fine puree and set aside.
  • Sprinkle some turmeric powder and mix them well.
  • Take a bowl add rice flour and salt mix well
  • Now we add little by little amount of pineapple puree and mix the rice flour with finger
  • Heat the vessel with water and allow water to simmer.
  • Then we take a puttu steamer and layer with grated coconut
  • Again we add rice flour pineapple mix
  • Then layer with grated coconut.
  • Again we have to layer with rice flour pineapple mix
  • Finally we add grated coconut and level it up.
  • Fill it till the top of the mould and cover with the lid.
  • Place this mould on top of the simmering water bath.
  • Fill it till the top of the mould and cover with the lid.
  • Steam passing through the lid hole shows that the puttu is cooked and ready.
  • Then we detach the mould from the boiling water bath
  • Then push the rice cake with a long stick on to a serving plate.
  • Serve and enjoy the pineapple rice cake with tea or coffee
