*Plantain seed – Chopped to small pieces 1 cup.
*Shallots – 5nos
*Grated coconut -1/4 cup.
*Bird’s eye chilies – 6 nos.
*Garlic -5 cloves.
*Cumin -1/2 teaspoon.
*Curry leaves – 3 stems.
*Mustard -1/2 teaspoon.
*Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
*Coconut oil – 1 tablespoon.
*Salt – as required.
1 Clean the plantain seed and cut them into big pieces and leave in water for some time. later chop them up to small pieces.
2 Rub in salt and remove the strings from it.
3 Make a paste of bird’s eye chili and turmeric powder first. Add in coconut, shallots, cumin, and garlic. make a thick paste.
4 Heat a pan with oil. Splutter mustard seeds, followed by sliced shallots, curry leaves, and dried chilies.
5 To this add the plantain seed, the prepared paste, and salt.
6 When everything is cooked, saute well and remove it off the flame.
