Ingredients
- Prawns – 1kg
- Raw mango – 2 nos
- Ginger – 1 medium
- Garlic – 6 or 7 nos
- Shallots – 16 to 20nos
- Dry red chillies – 4 or 5 nos
- Curry leaves – 2 or 3 no
- Green chillies – -2 or 3 nos
- Grated coconut – 1 cup
- Red chilli powder – 1 ½ tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Fenugreek seed – 1 tsp
- Oil – 2 or 3 tbsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
Method
- Firstly,we have to cut and cleaned the prawns and set aside.
- Then peel and cut the mangoes into long pieces.
- Crush ginger and garlic set aside.
- Then we have to grind the grated coconut into smooth paste ,set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add chopped shallots ,green chillies and crush ginger garlic paste ,saute well .
- Then add red chilli powder,coriander powder and turmeric powder ,mix well.
- Add some water and mix it well.
- Add some curry leaves,raw mango pieces and salt ,saute for some minutes then cover and cook for 5
to 6 minutes. - Then add coconut paste ,few amount of waterand salts mix well.
- Add cleaned prawns cook till they become ready.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add fenugreek seed ,dry red chillies,shallots and curry leaves saute and fry it well.
- Then pour the mixture into prawn curry pan and mix it well.
- Serve and enjoy the curry with tapioca.
