Rambutan pickle

  • Rambutan – 1kg
  • Oil-3tbsp
  • Mustard seed-1tsp
  • Curry leaves-3 strings
  • Chilli powder-2tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Ginger-small piece
  • Garlic-5 or 6 pieces
  • Water -½ cup
  • Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek powder-1/2tsp
  • Salt –to taste
    Method
  • First we select the riped seed and squeeze to pop out the fruit
  •  heat oil in a pan add mustard seed once seed spitted
  •  then we add curry leaves,chillipowder ,turmeric powder,ginger and garlic,mix well.
  •  Add water and salt to taste and stir well
  •  When gravy become thick add cumin powder and fenugreek powder,Then we finally add the
    rambutan fruit and mix well
  •  Turn off the fire and ,once cool store in a air tight container.
