Ingredients
- Chicken – 1 kg
- Onion – 5 nos
- Tomato – 2 nos
- Green chilli – 4 nos
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Garlic – 7 or 8 nos
- Curry leaves – 3 or 4 sprigs
- Coriander leaves – small hand full
- Grated coconut – 1 cup
- Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala- 1 tbsp
- fennel seed – 1 tsp
- Black pepper – 1 tsp
- Cumin seed – 1 tsp
- salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- oil – 2 or 3 tbsp
Method
- Firstly we have to cut and cleaned the chicken .
- Then wash and drain them well, set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add grated coconut ,saute them well.
- Then add fennel seed ,black pepper ,cumin seed and curry leaves
- saute and roasted till they become light brown colour .
- Remove from fire and keep aside.
- Then grind the roasted coconut mix into fine paste
- Heat oil in a pan ,add chopped ginger and garlic ,green chilli and
- Chopped onion saute them well.
- Then add salt and saute until the shallots are translucent
- Then add turmeric powderer ,red chilli powder ,coriander powder and garam masala,Saute then well.
- Then add chopped tomatoes and saute well
- Add some cleaned chicken and combine them well.
- Then pour sufficent amount of water and mix them well.
- Cover and cook till the chicken become soften.
- Then add grounded masala and mix them well.
- Then add little amount of water and mix them well
- Then cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes
- Add some chopped coriander leaves and mix well
- Then finally sprinkle some garam masala and cumin powder ,Mix them well
- Remove from fire and keep a side.
- Serve the tasty chicken curry with chappathi.
