Ingredients
- Lemon – 8-10 nos
- Salt – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds – 1 tsp
- Garlic – 10 to 12
- Ginger – 2 pieces
- Green chilies -3 nos
- Curry leaves
- Dates – 8 to 10
- Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Vinegar – 3 tbsp
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
Method
- Today we’re going to prepare dry lemon pickle
- For that first boil water in a pan and add all the lemon and cook it
- Then after it is cooked remove from water
- Then cut the lemon in to small pieces after its heat is gone
- Now add salt and mix it thoroughly and keep it aside
- Then heat oil in a pan
- Add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds , crushed garlic, crushed ginger, sliced green chillies and curry leaves, saute it well
- Then add the chopped dates in to it and saute well for sometime
- Then transfer it in to a plate and keep aside
- Then on that same pan , add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and roast it
- Then add water in to it and mix thoroughly and wait for it to boil
- Now add salt and mix again
- Then add the lemon pieces and mix well
- Then add the other mix of garlic ginger and dates we kept aside
- Now add vinegar to mix and add well
- Now mix all of these well and stir it till the consistency changes
- Add 2 tablespoon sugar and stir well again
- Now remove the pan from fire
- Tasty dry lemon pickle recipe is ready to serve
