Dry lemon pickle recipe


  • Lemon – 8-10 nos
  • Salt – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1 tsp
  • Garlic – 10 to 12
  • Ginger – 2 pieces
  • Green chilies -3 nos
  • Curry leaves
  • Dates – 8 to 10
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Vinegar – 3 tbsp
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp


  • Today we’re going to prepare dry lemon pickle
  • For that first boil water in a pan and add all the lemon and cook it
  • Then after it is cooked remove from water
  • Then cut the lemon in to small pieces after its heat is gone
  • Now add salt and mix it thoroughly and keep it aside
  • Then heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds , crushed garlic, crushed ginger, sliced green chillies and curry leaves, saute it well
  • Then add the chopped dates in to it and saute well for sometime
  • Then transfer it in to a plate and keep aside
  • Then on that same pan , add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and roast it
  • Then add water in to it and mix thoroughly and wait for it to boil
  • Now add salt and mix again
  • Then add the lemon pieces and mix well
  • Then add the other mix of garlic ginger and dates we kept aside
  • Now add vinegar to mix and add well
  • Now mix all of these well and stir it till the consistency changes
  • Add 2 tablespoon sugar and stir well again
  • Now remove the pan from fire
  • Tasty dry lemon pickle recipe is ready to serve
