Ingredients
- Dal-1/2 kg
- Chilli powder-1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
- Tomato- 2 medium
- Onion -4 or 5
- Green chilli-5 or 6
- Garlic -5 or 6 petals
- Ginger-1 medium
- Dry red chilli-3 or 4 nos
- Mustard seed-1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida- ½ tsp
- Salt –to taste
- Water-for cooking
- Coconut oil-for cooking
Method
- Wash the dal and cook along with the chilli powder,turmeric powder,curry
leaves,salt,coconut oil and water . - Then we crush the dry red chilli,ginger and garlic separately ,keep it in a side
- In a frying pan ,heat oil.add mustard seed ,when it crackled
- Add onion ,green chiili,curry leaves,crushed dry red chilli ,ginger ,garlic and
salt,then they sauted until onion turns slight brown - Then we add turmeric powder ,tomato and cooked dal mix well
- Again we add tamarind water and asafoetida mix well and cook for some
minutes - Turn off the flame and serve easy dal curry with meals
- Enjoy the meal with this easy dal curry
