Poha ladoo


  • Poha-1 cup
  • Jaggery-1/2 kg
  • Ghee-3 to4 tbsp
  • cardamom  -2 tor 3 nos
  • grated coconut -1 cup
  • raisins -250 gms
  • cashew-250 gms


  •  Heat a pan. Lower the flame and add 1 cup thick poha in it and roast
    the poha stirring often.
  •  Then we take a pan and add ghee and grated coconut ,sauted for
    some minutes till the coconut turns golden brown
  •  Now heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a small frying pan add 8 to 10
  •  On a low to medium flame, fry the cashews till they start to turn light
  •  Then add raisins, fry till the raisins swell up. Stir often while frying
  •  Then we grind the cardamom into fine powder and keep it in a side
  •  Again we grind the roasted coconut and jaggery in to fine paste
  •  Take a large bowl add whole ingredients like cardamom
    powder,jagerry ,coconut and fried raisins and cashew nuts mix well
    and start shaping the ladoo.
  •  Serve the healthy kerala style ladoo with tea and coffee …
