Ingredients
- Chicken – 1 kg
- Onion – 4 nos
- Garlic – 10 to 12 nos
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Green chilli – 4 to 5 nos
- Tomatoes – 2 nos
- Curry leaves – 2 to 3 sprigs
- Grated coconut – 1 cup
- Cardamon – 4 to 5 nos
- Cinnamon – 3 to 4 nos
- Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Pepper powder – 1 tbsp.
- Fennel seed – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- Oil – 3 to 4 tbsp
Method
- Firstly, we have to cut and clean the chicken.
- Then rinse, drain, and set aside.
- Heat a pan add cardamom, cinnamon and grated coconut,saute them well.
- Add curry leaves and sauté them well.
- Pour some oil over them and combine them well.
- Saute and roast them well until they become a light golden brown.
- Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and pepper powder.
- Saute them well for a few minutes
- Remove from fire and set aside.
- Then grind roasted coconut into fine paste and set aside.
- Then crush ginger and garlic ,set aside
- Heat oil in a pan add fennel seed, let them spluttered.
- Then add crush ginger garlic mix ,sauce them well.
- Add chopped onion and green chilli,sauté them well.
- Add curry leaves and sauté them well.
- Then add tomatoes and salt,saute them well.
- Cover and cook till the tomatoes become soften.
- Remove the lid and add grinded roasted coconut mix
- Then add some water and mix and cook them well.
- Add cleaned chicken pieces and mix them well.
- Cover and cook till the chicken become soften.
- Remove from fire and set aside.
- Serve the tasty chicken curry with meals.
