Ingredients
- Elephant foot – ½ kg
- Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
- Tamarind – small ball.
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Dry red chilli – 4 nos
- Fenugreek seed – 1 tsp
- Cumin seed – 1 tsp
- Mustard seed – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- Oil – 3 or 4 tbsp
Method
- Firstly we have to peel and cut the yam into small cubes .
- Then wash and drain set aside.
- Take a bowl add tamarind and water squeeze them well ,drain and set aside.
- Take a pan add yam cubes ,tamarind water ,turmeric powder and salt cook them well .
- Drained and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add dry red chilli ,fenugreek seed and cumin seed fry them well and keep aside.
- Then crush the fried ingredients like red chilli,cumin seed etc into fine powder and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed ,lets cracled.
- Add curry leaves ,,cooked elephant foot yam and salt mix them well.
- Then add crushed powder ,mix well and fry them well.
- Remove from fire and set aside.
- Serve and enjoy the healthy yam fry with meals
