Ingredients
- Fish – 1 nos
- Onion – 2 nos
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Garlic – 7 to 8 nos
- Green chilli – 3 to 4 nos
- Curry leaves – 3 to 4 sprigs
- Tomatoes – 3 nos
- Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Pepper powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Fenugreek seed – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- Oil – 5 to 6 tbsp
Method
- Firstly, we have to crush the ginger and garlic and set them aside.
- Again, we have to crush the chopped tomatoes into a fine puree.
- Take a bowl add tamarind and water soap for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Take a pan add cleaned fish.
- Then add turmeric powder and mix them well.
- Then it marinated for half an hour.
- Take a frying pan and heat some oil in it.
- Once the oil is hot, add the marinated fish.
- Fry them on both sides until they turn light golden brown.
- Drain the excess oil from the fish and set it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add fenugreek seed.
- Add chopped onion, green chili, and curry leaves.
- Saute them well for a few minutes.
- Sprinkle with salt and saute the onion until translucent.
- Saute the crushed ginger and garlic mixture thoroughly.
- Add some curry powders, like red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and pepper powder.
- Saute them well until the raw smell completely disappears.
- Then add tomato puree and mix them well.
- Mix in the soaked tamarind water thoroughly.
- Add some salt and saute them well.
- Mix in the fried fish and the cooked masala.
- Cook for a few minutes.
- Take the pan off the heat and set it aside.
- Serve the tasty fish masala curry with boiled tapioca.
