INGREDIENTS
- Onion – 36medium sized, thinly sliced
- Grated coconut – 1 cup
- Ginger – 1/2 inch piece, finely chopped
- Dry red chillies – 2
- Green chilli– 5 or 6
- Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
- Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coconut Oil
- Salt – As required
Method
- First we take a bowl and add onion ,shallots, ginger ,green chilli,grated
coconut salt and turmeric powder mix well and keep a side. - Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds.
- Then we add the shallots , dry red chilli and curry leaves mix well and saute
some minutes. - Now we add the mixture of onion and grated coconut into the pan and mix
well,cook some minutes - Turn off the flame and serve the kerala style onion thoran into the meals
