Ingredients
- Sardine – 1kg
- Garlic – 6 to 7 nos
- Ginger – 1nos
- Onion – 2 nos
- Tomato – 2 nos
- Malabar tamarind – 3 to 4 nos
- Turmeric powder – 1/2tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 ½ tbsp.
- Fenugreek powder – 1/2tsp
- Fenugreek – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1or 2 tsp
- Oil- 7 to 8 tbsp
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and add fenugreek.
- Then add chopped ginger and garlic and saute for a few seconds.
- Add chopped onions and saute them well.
- Now add some chopped green chili and saute them well.
- Then add some curry powders, such as turmeric powder and red chili powder and saute them well for a few minutes.
- Add soaked Malabar tamarind and water combine them well.
- Again, add sufficient amount of water for sardine curry and stir and boil them well.
- Once the masala gavy is well boiled, add the cleaned sardine fish and mix it with a spatula.
- Then cook for a few minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes on top of the curry and cook well.
- If the sardine fish curry is well cooked, add some fenugreek powder.
- Then pour some fresh coconut oil on top of the curry.
- Stir them well, remove from the fire and set aside.
- Serve the tasty sardine fish curry with tapioca or meals.
