Kerala Style Seasoned Buttermilk –Moru curry.

Ingredients

  • Curd -1 cup
  • Green chilli – 3 nos
  • Garlic -6 nos
  • Ginger – 1 medium
  • Curry leaves – 3 sprigs
  • Shallots – 5 or 6 nos
  • Grated coconut – ½ cup
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin seed – 1tsp
  • Fenugreek seed – 1 tsp
  • Mustard seed – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida powder -1 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
  • Water – ½ cup

Method

  • First we have to grind green chilli,cumin seed,garlic ,grated coconut and shallots into smooth
    paste ,set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed and fenugreek seed ,lets crackled.
  • Then we have to add dry red chilli ,chopped shallots,ginger and curry leaves saute for 2 to 3
    minutes.
  • Add grinded coconut paste ,turmeric powder ,salt and asafoetida mix the well ,saute for some
    minutes.
  • Then we have to add fresh curd and water mix them well and boil for 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Remove from fire and set aside.
  • Serve and enjoy the tasty kerala style seasoned butter milk with meals.
