Ingredients
- Sardine fish – 1 kg
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Garlic – 5 or 6 nos
- Shallots – 9 to 10 nos
- Green chilli – 3 nos
- Curry leaves – 3 sprigs
- Tomato – 2 nos
- Red chilli powder – 1 ½ tbsp.
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Malabar tamarind -4 or 5 nos
- Fenugreek seed – 1 tsp
- Mustard seed – 1 tsp
- Oil – 3 or 4 tsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
Method
- Firstly ,we have to cut , clean and wash ,set aside.
- Take a bowl add Malabar tamarind and water ,soak them well.
- Then we have to crush ginger and garlic set aside.
- Take a bowl add red chilli powder and water ,mix them well and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed and fenugreek seed ,lets them crackled.
- Add chopped shallots ,green chilli ,curry leaves and ginger garlic paste ,saute them well.
- Then add chopped tomato and saute till they become soften.
- Then pour red chilli water mix and combine them well.
- Add turmeric powder and salt saute them well.
- Then add soaked Malabar tamarind and cleaned sardine fish ,mix ,cover and cook them well.
- Finally sprinkle some curry leaves and cook for five minutes.
- Remove from fire and set aside.
- Serve and enjoy spicy fish curry with boiled tapioca or meals.
