
Ingredients
- Coconut – 2nos
- Peanut – 50g
- Bengal gram – 50g
- Sesame seeds – 3 to 4 tsp
- Jaggery – 20g
Method
- Today we’re going to prepare thenga nirachathu
- For that
- First take two coconut
- Peel the outer shell and fibres of coconut and keep a hole on top of the coconut
- Then drain the coconut water from it and keep the coconut aside
- Now heat a pan and roast peanuts and keep it aside and let it cool
- Then roast Bengal gram and set it aside and let it cool
- Now roast sesame seeds and keep it aside and let it cool
- Now transfer this peanut in to a grinding stone and grind it in to fine powder and keep it aside in a bowl
- Then grind the roasted bengal gram and transfer it in to a plate and keep it aside
- Now grind the sesame seeds and keep it aside
- Then mix this peanut powder, bengal gram powder and sesame seeds powder in to a bowl and grate jaggery in to it and mix it with hands
- Now take the coconut and fill the coconut with this mixture through the hole on top of the coconut
- Now close the hole with a stick and roast this coconut directly in to the fire
- When it gets fully roasted , remove the outer shell of coconut
- Then cut the inner part of coconut
- Thenga nirachathu is ready to be served
