Ingredients
- Jackfruit Rags – 2 to 3 cups
- Curry leaves – 2 to 3 sprigs
- Peanut – 1 cup
- Toor Dal – 1 cup
- Rice Flakes – 1 cup
- Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
- Asafoetida powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- Oil – 1/2 ltr
Method
- Firstly, we have to cut the jackfruit into two portions.
- Then remove the outer green coloured throne.
- Then cut the jackfruit and set it aside.
- Then separated the rags from the jackfruit and kept them aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add jackfruit rags.
- Then fry till the colour changes to a light golden brown.
- Drain and keep a side.
- Repeat the same process with balanced jackfruit rags and keep it aside.
- Again, add peanuts to the hot oil.
- Saute and fry them well.
- Drain them well and keep them aside.
- Now add the toor dal and fry them well.
- Drain them well and keep them aside.
- Then add some rice flakes to the hot oil.
- Saute and fry till the rice flakes become crisp.
- Drain them well and keep them aside.
- Again, add some curry leaves to the hot oil.
- Fry them, drain them well, and set them aside.
- Take a banana leaf and add fried jackfruit rags.
- Then add fried peanuts and toor dal.
- Then add fried rice flakes.
- Then sprinkle some red chilli powder, asafoetida powder and salt.
- Combine them well with your hands.
- Then add some fried rice flakes and mix them well.
- Finally, sprinkle some curry leaves on them and mix them well.
- Enjoy the tasty jackfruit rags mixture with tea or coffee.
