Ingredients
Tapioca-1kg
Chicken-1kg
Pearl onion-12 to13 nos
Shallots-4 nos
Ginger-1 medium
Garlic-12 to 13 cloves
Tomato-2nos
Green chilli-4 or 5 nos
Turmeric -1 tsp
Chilli powder-2 tbsp
Coriander powder- 2tbsp
Fennel powder-1 tsp
Black pepper powder-2 tsp
Chicken masala -1tbsp
Curry leaves-2sprig
Mustard seed-1 tsp
Oil-4 to 5 tbsp
Method
- First we cook the tapioca with salt and turmeric till it becomes soft. Mash
tapioca & keep it aside - Then we grind the ginger garlic and green chilli and keep it in a side
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds
- Saute the pearl onion ,shallots ,crushed ginger garlic ,green chilli ,tomato and curry leaves
- Again we add curry powders like coriander powder ,fennel powder ,black pepper powder
,turmeric powder and chicken masala ,mix them well and sauted for a minutes - Add chicken pieces and mix with masalas ,cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes
- Add the boiled tapioca and mix gently.
- At last we add some blackpepper powder and fennel powder mix them well
- Switch off the flame and serve and enjoy the kappa biriyani
