Ingredients
- Mexican mint – 17 to 18 nos
- Gram flour – 1 1/2 cup
- Rice flour – 1 cup
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- Oil – 1/2 ltr
Method
- Firstly, we have to wash and clean the Mexican mint leaves.
- Then dry the Mexican leaves and set them aside.
- Take a bowl and add gram flour and rice flour.
- Then add red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
- Add asafoetida powder and salt.Mix them well.
- Add some water and make it into a smooth batter.
- It should be a little thinner than dosa batter,but don’t make it too thin.Heat oil in a pan, dip the Mexican mint leaves in the batter and coat well.
- Then, drop the leaves into the oil.
- Then we have to flip the leaves once the other side gets golden brown.
- Remove the Mexican mint leaves bajji from the oil and set aside to drain excess oil.
- Serve the Mexican mint leaves with tea or coffee.
