Ingredients
- Tamarind – small ball
- Shallots – 12 to13 nos
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Green chilli – 3 to 4 nos
- Jaggery – 1 cup
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Oil – 2to 3 tsp
Method
- Take a bowl and add tamarind and water. Soak for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Chop the shallots and set them aside.
- Then chop the ginger and set it aside.
- Then chop the green chilli and set it aside.
- Then grated the jaggery and set it aside.
- squeezed the soaked tamarind.
- Drain the tamarind water and set it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seed and dry red chilli.
- Then add the shallots and saute them well.
- Then add chopped ginger and sauté them well.
Then add green chilli and curry leaves. - Saute them well.
- Sprinkle some salt on them and sauté them well.
- Add grated jaggery and mix them well.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and asafoetida powder.
- Saute them well till the raw smell is completely gone.
Add the drained tamarind water and stir them well.Add grated
