Pomfret curry with pot tamarind

*Pomfret – 1/2 kg.
*Pot tamarind – 6nos.
*Ginger garlic paste – 1 tablespoon.
*Green chilies – 6 nos.
*Coconut oil – 1 Tablespoon.
*Mustard – 1 teaspoon.
*Chili powder – 1 and 1/2 tablespoon.
*Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
*Fenugreek powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
*Curry leaves – 2 stems.
*Salt to taste.
1 Clean the fish properly.
2 Make ginger garlic paste, slit 6 green chilies to 4 each.
3 Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon oil, splutter mustard
4 Saute in the ginger garlic paste, green chilies and cook till the raw smell subside. Add in the curry leaves and saute.
5 Saute in 1 and 1/2 tablespoon chili powder. When rawness subsides, add the pot tamarind, water, and salt as per taste. Mix 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek powder and turmeric powder and bring it to boil.
6 On the boil add the fish. Cover and cook.
