Kerala Style Carrot Thoran


  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seed – 2tbsp
  • Curry leaves – 2 sprig
  • Carrot grated – 5
  • Onion chopped – 4
  • Green chilli – 4 nos slit
  • Ginger – 1 sliced
  • Grated coconut – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste



Let’s get started the common dish of kerala
Heat oil in a pan. Add
mustard seed(kaduke). Let it sizzle for a minute. Add onion chilly, curry leaves and grated carrot, stir it well and saute it for 1 or 2 minutes. Now finally add grated coconut and salt to taste. Then cover using a lid and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Open the lid and stir well untile the carrots are softened (do not over cook). Remove from the fire and serve hot with rice and let’s enjoy the meals
