Kerala Style Drumstick Fry

Ingredients

  • Drum stick – 4 to 5 nos
  • Onion – 2 nos
  • Garlic – 7 to 8 nos
  • Green chilli – 2 or 3 nos
  • Curry leaves – 3 to 4 sprigs
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seed – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
  • oIl – 4 to 5 tbsp

Method

  • Firstly, we have to peel the drumstick, cut it into small pieces, and set it aside.
  • Wash them well and set them aside.
  • Take a pan. Add drumstick pieces, turmeric powder, and salt.
  • Pour in a sufficient amount of water and thoroughly mix.
  • Then place the pan on heat.
  • Cover and cook them well.
  • Then chop the onion and set it aside.
  • Then chop the garlic and set aside.
  • Chopped the green chilli and set aside.
  • Remove the lid and check whether the drumstick is cooked or not.
  • Once it is well cooked, remove it from the fire and set it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seed and let them sputter.
  • Add curry leaves and garlic.
  • Then add the chopped onion and green chilli.
  • Saute them well for a few minutes.
  • Then add red chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala and pepper seed.
  • Saute them well for a few minutes.
  • Add the cooked drumsticks and combine them well.
  • Cook for a few minutes.
  • Remove from fire and set aside
  • Serve the tasty drumstick fry with meals.
