Kerala salted raw mango/ manga uppilittathu


  • Mango – 5 nos
  • Ginger – 2 pieces
  • Green chilies – 10 to 12 nos
  • Salt – 2 to 3 tbsp


  • Today we’re going to make Kerala style salted raw mango
  • For that first cut and wash mangoes
  • Then slice the mango in to long pieces and keep it aside
  • Now peel the ginger and wash
  • Then wash green chillies
  • Then slice the green chillies and ginger and keep it aside
  • Now take a pickle jar and put the sliced mango and add the green chillies
  • Then add ginger
  • Then add the salt
  • Now add water and close the jar airtight and mix
  • Keep it for few days, so that the mango will absorb the salt and spice
  • Kerala salted raw mango/ manga uppilittath is ready
