Kerala Style Garlic Pickle


  • Coconut oil-2tbsp
  • Mustard seed-2tbsp
  • Ginger-1 slice
  • Asafoetida-1/2 spoon
  • Curry leaves-2 sprig
  • Garlic-1/2 cup
  • Fenugreek seed-1/2 spoon
  • Red chilli powder-1 ½ spoon
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 spoon


Remove the pods from garlic then keep a side .take a pan add oil let it hot once oil is hot
add mustard seed ,start to pop then add ginger ,curry leaves and garlic ,slightly gets golden
brown colour ,then we add red chilli powder, fenugreek powder, turmeric powder, curry
leaves and salt to taste.mix well and sauté for a minute. And then to add white vinegar
.remove from heat and set a side cool completely and then store in a air tight container
