- Ingredients
- Coconut oil – 1ltr
- Mustard seed -1tsp
- Turmeric powder -1tsp
- Curry leaves -4sprigs
- Asafoetida powder -3 pinches
- Fenugreek seed -1/2 tsp
- Dried red chilli -2 to 3 slit
- Red chilli – 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder -3/4 the tbsp
- Salt – to taste
Method
- Wash the dal and add it in a pot ,along with 4or 5 cups of water. Then add turmeric powder and 1 tsp of
oil, and cover with lid and allow to cook - Then open the lid and add chopped vegetables, curry leaves ,asafoetida ,fenugreek powder,salt to taste
and add tamrind water to the pot or vessel,and cover with lid and cooked for 15 minutes. - Take a pan add mustard seed start to pop it ,then add onion ,dry red chilli, then sauté for minute,add
chilli powder and coriander powder,then mix well(masala mix) - Then the above masala mix is added with dal and vegetable vessel .remove from heat and serve with
