Ingredients
- Egg – 6 nos
- Onion – 3 or 4 nos
- Green chilli – 3 to 4 nos
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Garlic -8 to 9 nos
- Curry leaves – 2 to 3 sprigs.
- Tomatoes – 1 nos
- Red chilli powder -1 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Garam masala – 1 tbsp
- Pepper seed – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seed – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- Oil – 3 to 4 tbsp
Method
- In a pan, bring the water, salt and egg to a boil.
- Drain boiled eggs and put in a bowl filled with cold water .
- Then crush the pepper ,ginger and garlic ,set aside.
- Deshell the boiled eggs and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds and let them cracle.
- Add dry red chilli and saute them well.
- Then add crushed ginger ,garlic and pepper seed .
- Saute them well for few minutes.
- Then add curry leaves and green chilli ,saute them well.
- Then add chopped onion and saute till onion become transluent
- Sprinkle some salt and saute them well.
- Then add turmeric powder ,red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala .
- saute until the raw smell of the spices completely disappears.
- Then add chopped tomatoes and saute them well.
- Pour some water over them and thoroughly mix them .
- Cover and cook them well.
- Add boiled eggs and mix with masala .
- Cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Take the pan off the heat and set it aside.
- Serve the tasty egg roast with appam.
