Gooseberry pickle

Ingredients
*Gooseberry – 1 kg.
*Garlic – 150 gms.
*Ginger – 1 big piece.
*Hing – 2 blocks.
*Curry leaves – 2 stems.
*Chili powder – 2 tablespoons.
*Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
*Fenugreek powder – 1 teaspoon.
*Mustard – 2 stems.
*Vinegar – 1 tablespoon.
*Coconut – 2 tablespoons.
*Salt – as required.
*Water – as required.
Method
1 Boil clean gooseberry till well done.
2 Peel and chop garlic.
3 Chop the cooked gooseberries.
4 To make the pickle, heat a pan with oil, splutter mustard.
5 Saute in chopped garlic, ginger, and hing. When the froth settles saute in curry leaves, chili powder. When raw smell subsides add water and season with salt.
6 Add fenugreek powder, turmeric powder followed by vinegar.
7 When the pickle starts to boil remove it from the flame.
