Kerala Fish Curry With Coconut Paste

Ingredients

  • Indian mackerel fish – 1 kg
  • Shallots -= 8 to 9 nos
  • Garlic – 6 or 7 nos
  • Ginger -0 1 medium
  • Curry leaves – 3 sprigs
  • Tomato – 1 nos
  • Garcinia cambogia – 4 or 5 nos
  • Green chilli – 2 nos
  • Grated coconut – ½ cup
  • Fenugreek seed – 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Coconut oil – 2 tbsp

Method

  • First we have to grind the coconut into fine paste and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add fenugreek seed .
  • Again we have to add chopped shallot ,garlic,curry leaves and ginger saute for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Add curry powders like red chilli powder ,turmeric powder and salt saute well .
  • Then we have to add chopped tomato saute well and add some water and mix it well.
  • Add garcinia cambogia and green chilli .cover and cook well.
  • Now we have to add indian mackerel fish ,cover and cook for 8 to 9 minutes .
  • Then we have to add grinded coconut paste and mix it well ,cook for some minutes.
  • Finally we have to add 1 tbsp of .coconut oil and curry leaves .
  • Remove from fire and set aside.
  • Serve and enjoy the fish curry with meals.
