Ingredients
- Taro root – 3 big nos
- Shallots – 8 to 9 nos
- Curry leaves – 3 sprigsa
- Green chilli – 2 nos
- Garlic – 5 or 6 nos
- Grated coconut – 1 cup
- Cumin seed – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Dry red chilli – 3 nos
- Mustard seed – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
- Oil – 3 or 4 tbsp
Method
- Firstly we have to peel ,cut into small cubes and wash the taro root ,keep aside.
- Heat water in a pan add taro root cubes and salt ,cover and cook them well.
- Then we have to crush green chilli , half cup of grated coconut ,turmeric powder, garlic and
cumin seed ,keep aside. - Now we have to blend the cooked taro root with spatula into smooth paste.
- Then add crushed grated coconut mix and combined them well.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. Once they splutter .
- Add dry red chilli and chopped shallots ,curry leaves and another half of grated coconut and
saute them well till they colour changes to golden brown. - Then pour the fried sauted coconut mixture into the taro root curry pan and combine them
well. - Finally kerala style taro root curry is ready,Serve the tasty curry with your yummy meals.
