Ingredients
- Basmati rice – 1 kg
- Green piece – ½ kg
- Ginger – 1 medium
- Garlic – 7 or 8 nos
- Fennel seed – 1 tbsp
- Bay leaves – 2 nos
- Cloves – 3 nos
- Cinnamon – 1 nos
- Chopped onion – 3 nos
- Chopped beans – 8 or 9 nos
- Green chilli – 3 nos
- Chopped carrot -2 nos
- Chopped potato -2 nos
- Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
- Mustard seed – 1 tsp
- Water – for cooking
- Salt – to taste
Method
- First we wash and clean the basmati rice and drain keep a side.
- Heat water in a pot add green piece and cook well then drain ,set a side.
- Then we have to crush ginger and garlic and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add fennel seed and mustard seed ,when its starts to splutter .
- Add bay leaves ,cloves and cinnamon , saute well.
- Again we add chopped onion and crush ginger garlic paste ,saute for some minutes.
- Then we add chopped vegitables like beans, carrot, potato ,green chilli and curry leaves saute well
- Now we add boiled green piece ,water and salt ,mix well ,cover and cook well.
- Finally we add basmati rice and cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes
- Ones it is ready mix well and remove from fire and keep a side.
- Serve and enjoy the taste of vegitable pulao
