Simple Vegetable Pulao Recipe

Ingredients

  • Basmati rice – 1 kg
  • Green piece – ½ kg
  • Ginger – 1 medium
  • Garlic – 7 or 8 nos
  • Fennel seed – 1 tbsp
  • Bay leaves – 2 nos
  • Cloves – 3 nos
  • Cinnamon – 1 nos
  • Chopped onion – 3 nos
  • Chopped beans – 8 or 9 nos
  • Green chilli – 3 nos
  • Chopped carrot -2 nos
  • Chopped potato -2 nos
  • Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
  • Mustard seed – 1 tsp
  • Water – for cooking
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  • First we wash and clean the basmati rice and drain keep a side.
  • Heat water in a pot add green piece and cook well then drain ,set a side.
  • Then we have to crush ginger and garlic and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add fennel seed and mustard seed ,when its starts to splutter .
  • Add bay leaves ,cloves and cinnamon , saute well.
  • Again we add chopped onion and crush ginger garlic paste ,saute for some minutes.
  • Then we add chopped vegitables like beans, carrot, potato ,green chilli and curry leaves saute well
  • Now we add boiled green piece ,water and salt ,mix well ,cover and cook well.
  • Finally we add basmati rice and cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes
  • Ones it is ready mix well and remove from fire and keep a side.
  • Serve and enjoy the taste of vegitable pulao
