Soya Chunks Fry

Ingredients

  • Soya chunks- 1/2 kg
  • Onion – 2 or 3 nos
  • Ginger – 1 nos
  • Garlic – 8 or 9 nos
  • Tomatoes – 2 nos
  • Curry leaves – 3 or 4 sprigs
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seed powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 or 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 1/2 ltr

    Method

  • Take a pan add water and salt heat them well.
  • Then, into the hot water pan, add the cleaned soya.
  • Then boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • Drain the boiled soya and put it in a bowl filled with cold water .
  • Then squeeze the soya with your hands and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add chopped onion,ginger ,green chilli and garlic
  • Saute till the raw smell disappears.
  • Sauté the curry leaves and salt well.
  • Add spices like turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder, fennel seed powder  and pepper powder
  • Sauté till the raw smell completely disappears.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and saute till the tomatoes become soft.
  • Then add cooked soya chunks and mix them well.
  • Cover and Cook for 4 to 5 minutes
  • Remove the lid ,saute and fry them well.
  • Remove from fire and set it aside.
  • Serve and enjoy the tasty fried soya chunks with meals.
