Ingredients
- Fish – 1 kg
- Onion – 2 nos
- Shallots – 14 to 15 nos
- Ginger – 1 nos
- Garlic – 10 to 12 nos
- Green chilli – 2 to 3 nos
- Lemon – 1/2 piece
- Dry red chilli – 5 to 6 nos
- Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tbsp
- Oil – 4 to 5 nos
Method
- Take a pan,add cleaned fish pieces.
- Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt.
- Then add the squeezed lemon juice and mix them well.
- Cover and marinate for half an hour.
- Then crush the dry red chilli into a fine powder and set aside.
- Then crush the shallots into a fine paste and set aside.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Then add marinated fish and fry them well.
- Fry them well until they become a light golden brown.
- Drain them well and set them aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add crushed ginger and garlic.
- Saute them well.
- Then add the chopped onion,green chilli, curry leaves and crushed shallots.
- Saute them well for a few minutes.
- Then add the crushed red pepper, red pepper powder and coriander powder.
- Saute them well for a few minutes.
- Cook for a few minutes.
- Remove from fire and set aside.
- Serve the tasty fish roast with meals.
